Our community requires renter's insurance to protect each resident's property. Please provide a confirmation of coverage by bringing the leasing office a declaration page from your insurance company. A minimum of $100,000.00 in liability insurance in required and Villages at General Grant Apartments must be listed as an interested party. Full coverage is recommended.
We recommend using ePremium for your renter's insurance and they will ensure that your policy meets our community’s requirements. Click the link below to visit their page and sign up.
Why do we require renter’s insurance?
Many renters are under the impression that their landlord’s insurance policy will cover their belongings, unfortunately that generally is not the case. Your landlord’s policy covers the building itself, but it may not include your personal belongings, and may not cover injuries sustained within the structure. That’s where renter’s insurance comes in.
Renter’s insurance protects your personal property in a rented apartment from unexpected circumstances such as theft, a fire, or sewer backup damage – and will pay you for lost or damaged possessions. It can also help protect you from liability if someone is injured on your property.
If you experience a covered loss in your rented space, renter’s insurance can help to cover the associated costs. The amount covered will depend on the type of loss that occurred and the amount of coverage you have.
I have lived here for just over a year and I love it. The location of this property is ideal! The apartments might have been built a long time ago but you can tell that they really keep them in great shape. The office and maintenance staff are friendly and accommodating. The pool is awesome in the summer and they always maintain and clean it well. In the winter they always pay attention to the sidewalks and parking lots promptly. I love how clean they keep the hallways. Great place to live!- Anonymous
Loved this place. Lived here for 9 years, and had to move due to a job relocation. If I could bring General Grant with me... I would! The new staff with the new company is amazing and are very focused on customer service and making sure the residents are taken care of, as well as the maintenance staff. Only downfall is parking sometimes... but it usually is never an issue for me. The Villages at General Grant changed my view on apartment complex- Anonymous
